Dr. Yaser S. Hamdan developed a passion for dentistry as a child while spending time at his uncle's dental practice where he eventually grew up to become a dental assistant. Upon receiving a scholarship, Dr. Hamdan started pursuing his dental education at the Karolinum Dentální Centrum in Prague. He then became a licensed dentist in his hometown of Jordan where he opened up his own practice. Afterward, Dr. Hamdan decided to come to the United States to advance his education by completing his residency at the Indiana University School of Dentistry where he also earned his Master of Science in dentistry and doctor of dental surgery. Since then, he's become board certified in operative dentistry and spent six years working at a dental office in downtown Chicago before he moved to Plano, TX and founded Urgent Family Dentistry.
As a practicing dentist for more than 25 years, Dr. Hamdan believes preventive care should take priority so he seeks to provide his patients with the knowledge they need to take better care of their teeth. He knows how stressful coming to the dentist can be so he is committed to ensuring his patients understand what their treatment options are so they will feel empowered and at ease while under his care.
Dr. Hamdan received an award in 2005 – 2006 for being one of America’s "Top Dentists" by the Consumers' Research Council of America. He is a proud member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Indiana Dental Association.
Dr. Cigdem Er has been treating patients at Urgent Family Dentistry since 2019. She graduated from the University of Marmara with her BDS in 2008 and moved to the USA. She graduated from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 2014 with her DDS degree. Dr. Er also happened to move to Texas in that same year. After practicing dentistry in Texas, she attended the University of Detroit Mercy’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program. Dr. Er is also a member of American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, North Texas Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Er enjoys traveling, hiking, and stargazing. Dr. Er is happily married with two daughters and she loves animals and is a cat mom.

Dr. Hamdan and his team were very nice and professional. He explains everything very thoroughly and avoids extra unnecessary work. He did my root canal and crown the same day and I am very happy with the result. I definitely recommend him.
The reviews are true. He is so kind and gentle. I was anxious and he was so patient and reassuring the whole time while doing my extraction that my primary dentist couldn’t do after a failed attempt. It FELT like 5 minutes from start to finish. Everyone is different, but that was my experience. He knew what he was doing. The short duration did not take away from his thoroughness by any means. You can tell he has perfected his craft. I will be recommending him to everyone. Not only was he kind, but the two male assistants were so kind too. And the two office ladies as well. If you’re anxious like me, definitely go see Dr. H. I was in and out.
They treated the pain problem I had in my tooth for a long time on the same day. I am doctor Çiğdem's patient and I had root canal treatment. Ms. Çiğdem and her assistants are very professional and polite people. I looked for a dentist for months, went to many places, they gave very expensive prices and I could not trust them, then I met the Urgent Family and of course I met the doctor Ms. Çiğdem and I am very happy.
